Royal Decree No. M\/18 was issued on 15\/1\/1442 AH amending Article 218 of the Penal Procedure Law and adopting electronic means in judicial notifications.<br \/>\nCircular No. 1020 \/ T was also issued on: 4\/5\/1439 AH to all courts to adopt notification by electronic means.<br \/>\nNotification through electronic means is considered to produce its statutory effects, and notification is to the addressee according to the following:<br \/>\n1\/ Text messages via mobile phone.<br \/>\n2 \/ email.<br \/>\n3\/ Governmental automated systems.<\/p>\n<p>The notification must fulfill the following data:<br \/>\n1\/ Name of the plaintiff or objector.<br \/>\n2\/ The subject of the report.<br \/>\n3\/ The name of the court, its location and the circuit.<br \/>\n4\/ The time and date of the session.<br \/>\n5\/ A copy of the statement of claim or an electronic link to access its content.<\/p>\n<p>The notification by electronic means is considered delivered unless a notice of non-delivery is received, or the informant proves from the competent authority that he did not receive it.
